At Deceuninck we lead the way in technology innovation. For example, we built a state-of-the-art plant in Belgium to maximise the re-use of old PVC windows. With a capacity of 40,000 tonnes of rigid PVC per year, Deceuninck is the largest window recycler in the Benelux. Thanks to our efforts, 2.3 million fewer PVC windows will end up as waste every year. By yearly increasing the share of recycled content in our products, we minimise the need for virgin material and, hence, the need for energy.

We close the loop for 90% of waste fractions of window components. Side products go to an external waste processor. Around 10% of waste is going to landfill. We are working to find circular solutions through R&D projects.

By collecting more and more old windows from consumers, Deceuninck strives to increase recycling volumes further. We cooperate with partners and window fabricators to ensure the inflow of material.
Wherever possible, we also make use of recycled aluminium, which is ideally suited as a raw material to produce low-carbon profiles. Without compromising quality, this is a solution that cuts CO2.

We use premium circular aluminium with a recycling content of at least 85% and with at least the same high-quality mechanical and surface properties as classic aluminium on the market.

Did you know that PVC has a lifespan of at least 300 years?

A PVC profile lasts 35 years and can be recycled at least eight times without loss of quality. This means our PVC windows have a total lifespan of at least 300 years. At Deceuninck, we’re committed to achieving 100% circularity and actively manage our carbon emissions.
